Integrated technical measures, including quarantine blockading, cleaning dead trees, applying attractant traps and wood traps for killing the long-horned beetles, Monochamus alternatus, and spraying the chemical, Chongxianqing, in fields were taken. The effects was good by the managements in the past 6 years: the occurrence area reduced every year, the number of dead tree came down yearly, the rate of dead trees dropped from 25.79‱ in 2005 to 0.86‱ in 2010, the disease was kept in the original area without any spread.
